Supporting Independents in Leicester during uncertain times
Here at Independent Leicester we have always been about celebrating our independent businesses and encouraging people to shop locally. These little spaces bring so much joy to our lives – the cafe that is your home from home, the restaurant you went on that special date, the shop you found your style in – the small corners in the city worth shouting about, and they need your support now more than ever.
Public health and safety should be everyone’s highest priority right now, so we sat down and had a think about how we can continue to support Leicester’s independent businesses in these uncertain times. We’ve pulled together some lists below that may be useful – ways that you can show your support for Leicester independents whilst making sure you protect your own health and the community around you.
We understand that everyone’s circumstances are different. We offer these ideas without judgement, but as a way for those who want – and are able – to support independents to continue to do so.
We’ll keep adding to these lists and ideas so if you hear of any great initiatives from independents please let us know on our facebook or instagram: @independentleics
Stay safe and #supportleicesterlocal
