Leicester Street Art Trail

Known as one of the most diverse cities in Europe, Leicester has become a hub for creatives who have been injecting colour into the city through street art.

Home to the Bring The Paint Festival, the city has gone from boring bricks to vibrant murals that are just waiting to amaze the next person who discovers one.

One of the most well-known is the transformation of the St Georges Tower (The big blue tower to us locals). Standing at 82 meters tall the mural is the largest piece of art in Europe and one of the tallest pieces in the world! Now that is something to shout about.

This enormous masterpiece was done by Rich, Wing, Leigh, Kiene & Ben who are part of the team at Graffwerk.

Artists from across the globe have travelled to participate in the Bring The Paint festival in 2017,2019 and 2022, leaving their mark on the city with designs inspired by Leicester’s history and culture.

With so many amazing paintings it is hard to pick just a few to visit. To help with this, we have put together a Street Art Trail for you to follow. Just to make sure you don’t miss out on anything and wander aimlessly around the city.

The murals can be viewed on foot, by bike, or even by boat! There are new pieces adorning the river soar too! So as you float on by be sure to keep your eyes peeled for what you may find.
