Picnic in the city of Leicester

The time has come to grab a blanket and head on outside for a picnic in the beautiful city of Leicester.

If you want to, you can spend most of your day making your own sandwiches, but I can assure you, you will have picnic envy as soon as you see the places we visited!

The Lunch Box –

This lovely little corner of the Malcolm Arcade is a great stop on your quest for the perfect picnic. From sandwiches to sweets, Lunch Box has something waiting to join in the party that’s happening inside your picnic basket. Their beautifully baked carrot cake would make the perfect addition.

Currant Affairs –

Currant Affairs is proudly Leicester’s first 100% vegan shop and is home to some of the tastiest treats in the city. One of my personal favourites is their freshly made samosas which will take your picnic from a 2 to a 10!

Bar Sandwich–

A picnic isn’t complete without a sandwich or two. So head down to Bar Sandwich to stock up on the tastiest baguettes. While you’re there, the soup is a must-try!

Le Gemelle –

Le Gemelle is little piece of Italy, right here in the heart of Leicester. It’s the perfect place to pick up some sweet or savoury treats for your picnic. You can’t possibly have a picnic and not finish it with a sweet treat. We recommend grabbing a freshly filled creamy Cannoli, this is sure to top off the best picnic you will ever have!
