Almeida Coffee and Juice bar is set in an idyllic location in Leicester’s Old Town, just a stone’s throw from Leicester Cathedral and the medieval Guildhall, the area is full of character and the perfect place to get away from it all.

Almeida is Leicester’s original juice bar, open since 1999. The café has an extensive food menu, all of which is made fresh to order with locally sourced ingredients where possible. From panini, wraps and bagels to couscous and sardines on toast, you’ll be spoilt for choice!

The recently expanded all day healthy breakfast menu now includes granola, porridge, banana toasties and scrambled eggs on toast, so there’s no excuse not to start the day off right.

The café claims to have the largest gluten free menu in Leicester, so it is a stress-free stop for anyone with additional dietary requirements or just trying to cut back.

We have to give a special mention to the delicious cakes and sweet treats on offer – all of which are homemade.

The coffee served is their own signature blend, roasted especially for the café. They also sell bags for you to take home – not just beans but also ground for all methods of brewing and decaffeinated versions too.

In the summer, you can relax in the secret garden or outside on their pavement seating. All year round the café has plenty of space, with downstairs tables and a first floor lounge which can also be hired for meetings and private gatherings for up to 20 people.
