Things to do with you Dad in Leicester

Father’s Day has once again rolled around far too quickly and like many of us, we’re all a little unprepared for it. But not to worry, we have put together a list of things to do with your dad to make him feel as appreciated as he should.

For the dad that likes to eat –

They say the way to a man’s heart is through their stomach, so why not take your dad out for some delicious food? Leicester is full of fabulous eateries so here are a handful of options to make that last-minute panic a little easier.

Dad’s love nothing more than a good steak and a cold pint, and 1573 Bar & Grill is the ideal place. Using only the best fresh seasonal produce this is guaranteed to leave your dad speechless…for once.

For a little food flare, why not try The Rutland & Derby where you’ll find great tasting yet innovative good old pub grub. All produce is fresh and ethically sourced to ensure optimum flavour in all dishes.

Still, struggling to decide?

Last but not least is the Knight & Garter. Described as ‘Leicester’s carefully considered pub’ the Knight & Garter have a fabulous seasonal menu with vibrant tasting meals that are prepared by passionate chefs in their state of the art kitchen.

For the dad that likes to shop –

If your dad is a shopaholic and loves to shop in the city then why not get him a Leicester Gift card, giving him access to over 150 in the city where he can splash the cash. From independents to big high street names just to name a few:

With plenty of places to choose from, he’ll be sure to find something to spend it on.

For the dad that likes history and culture –

If your dad is obsessed with the Discovery Chanel and loves dropping random facts, then Leicester is the ideal place to expand his knowledge. With an array of museums and historical buildings, the city is bursting with history.

The most recent exhibition to grace the halls of Leicester Museum is Punk: Rage & Revolution. Transport your dad back to when he was younger, stomping around the streets of Leicester in Docs and leather jacket.

The exhibition is on until 3rd September 2023.
