With freedom being handed back to us, and now that restrictions have been lifted, we can officially start dancing like no one’s watching again! Oh, how we’ve missed you. To celebrate, we’ve pulled together a reminder of the city’s best clubs and bars and what they’ve got coming up to tempt you away from your kitchen discos this summer.

R Bar
Whether you want to stop for pre-drinks first, or fancy partying the whole night away, R Bar has got you covered. You can enjoy two indoor bars each with two floors, one outdoor bar with an exciting drinks menu and a world class sound system attracting incredible DJs. Fan Club
Enjoy a blast from the past at Fan Club with music from the 80s, 90s and 00s, as well as Indie and R&B nights on a Saturday and Sunday. Also check out their cocktail classes and live band nights, or did you know you can even hire the venue for your Stag Do or Hen Party?
Club Republic
Republic is back! Enjoy their Holysh!t at Republic night every Friday with tickets from £5 and their new Rewired night which launched on 24th July. They have their annual A Level Results Rave on Tuesday 10th August. If that’s not enough, be sure to book your tickets to Yungen Live who is performing at Club Republic on 16th September, as well as many more artists including Hybrid Minds, Chase & Status and Friction who will be performing in November.
The Basement
Club Nights at The Basement are back, and with Happy Hour from 10pm-1am you can enjoy their range of classic cocktails, spritzes and shots, as well as the Basement’s Home-Grown drinks menu. All students can enjoy a discount on entry with an NUS card – check out their website for full details.

Mosh
Mosh is the go-to club in the city for a memorable and messy night out. Whatever your music taste, with three floors of tunes you’re bound to find an anthem to dance the night away to! Open until 4am every Friday and Saturday.
The Shed
The world-renowned Ambush club nights are back, and so is The Shed! Enjoy two great spaces: the Main Room and The Vault, where you can enjoy drinks and music all night-long. With an incredible array of guest DJ’s that have performed including Enter Shikari, Don Broco, Deaf Havana, IDLES and so many more, it’s one of the best places in Leicester to enjoy a night of music!
The 2Funky Lounge

They’re back! Leicester’s very own Gay and LGBTQ+ friendly nightclub and bar, Helsinki has been the choice of the fashion-gays for ever.
